C flute with B foot joint for advanced players. Straubinger Phoenix™ Pads offer softer touch, but also a superior response, wide dynamic range, and tolerance of environmental changes. The new Yamaha “Type A” headjoint enables the flutist to produce an easy yet colorful sound and still play using a wide dynamic range. There is a slightly increased wall thickness that greatly improves the resonance of the headjoint and maximizes the tonal colors. Headjoint and lip plate are made of 925 silver (Sterling Silver), body and foot joint are made of silver-plated Nickel Silver (Alpaca). The 587 has ring keys, and an in-line G key but no split-E mechanism. Case, bag, and accessories included.
